MELROSE — Warren E. “Eddie” Bushee, 85,  passed away at the High Pointe House in Haverhill on February 20, 2018.

Eddie was born in Melrose on October 19, 1932 to the late Charles and Emma (Boucher) Bushee. He was raised in Melrose, attended Melrose High School. After high school he entered the U.S. Army and served his country with pride as a Corporal during the Korean War. Eddie worked as an oil delivery man at Global Oil for 25 years, retiring at the age of 64.

Eddie lived in Melrose from 1932 to 1994, Peabody for 23 years and the past 6 months in New Hampshire. He always had a passion for hockey, played hockey three days a week and continued to play until the age of 79. Mr. Bushee enjoyed fishing, antique cars, and taking trips to Newfound Lake in N.H. Eddie loved sporting events, was a longtime member of the Saugus VFW, and enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. But above all he loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Bushee was the beloved husband of the late Jane K. (Donovan) Bushee. Loving father of Jean M. Mothon and her husband Louis of Methuen, Edward C. Bushee of Derry, N.H., Paul J. Bushee and his wife Carol of Calif., and Donna J. Morris and her husband Christopher of Methuen. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Katie, Mary, Emma, Jacqueline, Matthew, Patrick, Sean and Kelsie. Caring brother of Barbara Whitford of Ariz., John Bushee of Melrose and the late Robert, Francis, George, Edward, Irma Doucette, Wilfred, Thomas, Raymond, Freeman, Joseph, and Ernest Bushee and Louise Sheridan. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, Feb. 25. Funeral service was at the Gately Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 26. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery with military honors. Relatives and  friends were respectfully invited to attend.
