Enjoyed traveling to Prince Edward Island

MELROSE — William J. “Billy” Doyle, Jr., 44, of Melrose, died at the Life Care Center in Stoneham on May 24, 2018.

Billy was born and raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1992. He was a former UPS truck driver and member of the Local Union #25 for many years and was a lifelong Melrose resident. Billy was a very caring, generous, kind, strong minded person and loved to make people laugh. He had a quick wit, loved animals, muscle cars, Star Wars, car shows and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Billy enjoyed traveling to Prince Edward Island, Ireland, and going to New England Dragway in Epping, N.H.

His wife, family and friends were the most important part of his life. Bill was the beloved husband of Teresa A. Dolaher-Doyle of Melrose. Devoted son of the late William J. Sr. and Anna Lee (O’Leary) Doyle. Caring brother of Kristina Millard and her husband David of Windham, N.H. and Andrea Doyle-Day and her husband Steven of Wakefield. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
