MELROSE — Domenic Previte, 97, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2021. A lover of VO Manhattans, horse racing, the Yankees and, above all, his family, Domenic will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

Son of the late Peter and Nicolina ( LeDonne) Previte. Preceded in death by his wife Anna (DeSisto) Previte, his son Peter, twin brother Anthony Previte, sister Carmella Terizzi, and long time companion Joan DeFrancesco. Survived by brother Andrew Previte of Melrose. Loving father of Joanne and George McCarthy, and Jeanne and Donald Gaudet, both of Boyton Beach, FL; Paul Previte and his friend, Marybeth, of Andover; Barbara Previte of Beverly; James and Mary Previte of Stoneham; and Judy and Mike Clark of Haverhill. Loving Papa to Anthony Previte, Jamie and Sinead McCarthy; Ryan and Belkys McCarthy; Jody and Raphael Soeiro de Faria; Dawn and Rodney Simmons; Daniel and Lindsey Gaudet; Anna and Brian Michalski; Sara and Jason; James and Yvette Previte; Jeffrey and Maura Previte; Domenic and Kate Previte; Katelyn and Steven Bowen; and Michelle Clark, Melissa and Kyle Beland. Loving Great Papa to Delia, Aidan, and Violet McCarthy; Olivia and Sophia Gaudet; Jacob and Bella Simons; Kayla, Samantha and Renzo; Joseph and Jacob Michalski; Avery, Jackson and Hannah Previte; Mollie Bowen and Allie Beland.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St. Melrose on Tuesday, November 23 from 4 – 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial was at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose on Wednesday, November 24 at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
