MELROSE — Donald A. Gallagher (Donny), 33, of Melrose, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018.
Beloved son of Richard and Stella Gallagher of Melrose and devoted brother of Keith Gallagher of Wakefield. He was born at Melrose Wakefield Hospital July 21, 1985. He was raised in Melrose, was a lifelong resident of Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School. Mr. Gallagher was a hard worker and held multiple positions at Greenwood House of Pizza for many years.
Donny loved life and had a certain class about him. He had his own style. He was loyal and protective of his family and always put family first. He was smart, caring, nurturing, and proud. Donny was friendly and made people laugh. If you needed something, Donny was there. Donny loved golf, fantasy football, all things Boston sports and his cats Monty and Midnight. Words can’t express how cherished he was to family and friends and will always be missed. Heaven has gained an angel and he will be looking over us forever. His memory will be eternal until we are together again.
He was also the beloved grandson of John Macaris of Billerica and the late Pauline Macaris and the late Donald and Margaret Gallagher. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wednesday, November 28 A funeral service was held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave. Woburn on Thursday, November 29.
