LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield High School football team will pay tribute to all veterans and active military members this Friday night before their game against Georgetown. The team will also honor Benjamin “Sonny” Tropeano, a dedicated player in the Lynnfield Youth Football program who passed away suddenly this past July.
The ceremony will take place on the field at Pioneer Stadium beginning at 6:40 p.m. In honor of their service, all veterans and active military personnel with proper identification will be admitted to the game free of charge.
Head coach Neal Weidman and the team would like to extend a special invitation to former LHS players who served or are currently serving in the military to come to the game to be recognized.
The Pioneers will be wearing special camouflage uniforms for the game.
