LYNNFIELD — Old Tyme Italian Cuisine, John’s Roast Beef & Seafood, The Blue Ox, The Porthole, Edible Arrangements of Lynn, British Beer Company, Daniella’s Café of Danvers, Santarpio’s Pizza and PF Chang’s of Peabody will all be featured at My Brother’s Table (MBT), annual Summer Party fundraiser, Thursday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. at Spinelli’s in Lynnfield.

MBT is the North Shore’s largest soup kitchen located in Lynn. The party is sponsored by the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation and the Salem Five Charitable Foundation. Tickets are $65 per person and may be reserved by calling MBT at 781-595-3224 or by visiting www.mybrotherstable.org.

Since 1982, MBT has served over 3 million meals to people in need, in all kinds of weather, during years of economic ups and downs.

“This event is a critical fundraiser for the Table. Because they do not receive any government support, they need to raise their entire budget through their own fundraising,” said Leslie Greenberg, program chair of this event. While last year’s Summer Party was one of the most successful ever, since then, donations have been much harder to come by. In addition, the need has increased in recent months.

“It is the mission of My Brother’s Table to provide nutritious daily meals to people who need them. The funds raised by the Summer Party will allow us to continue to extend our helping hands and meet the growing need,” said Greenberg.

MBT relies on funding from private and corporate donations. Numerous North Shore businesses and organizations contribute to the Summer Party’s success.

As always, the Summer Party will feature fabulous food ― catered by the best restaurants in our area. Beautiful floral arrangements will be displayed from some of the North Shore’s finest florists. Musical entertainment, an instant wine cellar raffle as well as a silent auction will be held.
