Ran Vernon Market in Wakefield

STONEHAM — Nancy E. Pasquale, 89, of Stoneham and formerly of Wakefield, died Thursday evening, May 5, 2016 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.

Mrs. Pasquale was born in Melrose on February 15, 1927 and was the beloved daughter of the late John and Frances Ciccarella. She was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School.

She and her late husband Louis owned and operated for many years the former Vernon Market which was located on Vernon Street in Wakefield.

She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Pasquale. She was the loving mother of Joan L. Caggiano and her husband Paul of Boston and the late Diane McCarthy.

She was the sister of Connie Longo of Wakefield and the late Frank Ciccarella, Lena Moriana, Theresa Longo and Josephine Trozzo. She was the loving grandmother of Jonathan and Stephen McCarthy and step-grandmother of Jamie Curley, Jason Caggiano and Courtney Nunley, all of Lynnfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral was held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Interment was at Forest Glade Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
