WAKEFIELD — Nicholas Guletsky, III, 65, a longtime Wakefield resident died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.

Born in Cambridge on May 25, 1952 he was the son of the late Nicholas and Ann (Netishen) Guletsky.

Nick was raised in Pittsfield and was a graduate of The Kent School, Class of 1970. He then went on to Tufts University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1974. Nick had been working as a Principal Engineer at General Electric in Lynn, where he had spent nearly 40 years. He had a love for music, reading, movies, science fiction, cars, and stamp collecting. One of his greatest passions was cooking for his family and friends; he loved creating dishes for everyone to enjoy. Nick was often found
walking Lake Quannapowitt, which he did almost daily. Above all, he was a loyal and devoted family man. He was especially proud of his two sons and all of their accomplishments.

He was the beloved husband of Deborah A. Manos-Guletsky, with whom he would have celebrated 33 years of marriage in July. He was the cherished father of Nicholas Guletsky, IV of Manchester, N.H. and Alexander Guletsky of Wakefield. He was the brother of the late Lynne Poulos. He was the son-in-law of Therese Madiera and the late John Manos. He was the brother-in-law of Jeanne Manos, John Manos and his wife Denise, Terry Manos and his wife Maureen, and Raymond Manos and his wife Ramona. Nick is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Sunday, March 25 from 12-3 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
