Brought love to those around her

Heck-Obit-webNORTH READING —  Nicole M. (Bairos) Heck passed away in her North Reading home surrounded by her loving family Dec. 10 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 34 years of age. Nicole was born in Plymouth, raised in North Reading, graduated from North Reading High School, Class of 1998 and then from Salem State College in 2002. Nicole started her career with TJX in 2001 and joined HomeGoods in 2003.

Nicole was the beloved wife of Kevin Heck and the devoted and loving mother of Alivia and Kylie. She was the cherished daughter of Charles and Charlotte Bairos of North Reading and the  daughter–in–law of Marge Heck of Wakefield and Jim Heck of SC. Nicole was the sister of Matt Bairos and his wife Audra and the sister–in–law of Alex, Andrew and Christine Heck and the granddaughter of Joseph Moniz. Nicole also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Nicole loved music, mostly country; her favorite artist was Carry Underwood. One of her favorite TV shows was General Hospital, which she started watching with her Vovoa as a young girl. She loved vacationing, especially to the Turks & Caicos where she dreamed of having a second home where her family and friends could visit. Nicole was tenacious; once she set her eyes on something it was only a matter of time before she got it. She was instrumental in helping Kevin start his business. Her work ethic, determination and dedication were beyond compare and it showed in everything she did. She was smart, kind, caring and an amazing contributor to the Home Goods planning organization and to the TJX organization as a whole. Nicole’s love for her babies, Alivia and Kylie, was limitless. Her care and affection has helped produce two very smart, outgoing and happy little girls. We are heartbroken to have lost her, but know that we are blessed to have had her in our lives. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Nicole’s Memorial Mass was held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at St. Barbara’s Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
