WAKEFIELD — The Galvin Student/Faculty Basketball Game is just days away. Will the Globetrotters run away with it this year? Or will the Generals teach them a lesson in the slam-dunk?

The game will be held on Monday, March 9 at the Wakefield Memorial High School Field House. The game will be from 6 -8 p.m. The doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The Galvin PTO is gearing up for its ninth annual Student/Faculty Basketball Game. They hope you can join them on Monday, March 9 as their renowned staff, The Galvin Generals, face off against the beloved students, The Galvin Globetrotters.

Admission costs are $3 for students and $4 for adults. Pizza, drinks and snacks will be sold at the Courtside Cafe. Come cheer on your favorite team.

Please consider bringing an item to the game to donate to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry.

The donations at this time of year have been slow and unfortunately their clients are increasing. The current items that they are looking for are jarred pasta sauce, ground and instant coffee, baking items (brownie, cookie and cake mixes and frosting) and condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, vegetable oil and ketchup). Toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and soap are also appreciated. Please make sure that any items you donate have not expired.
