WAKEFIELD — Tomorrow we celebrate Thanksgiving, a federal holiday. A lot of us who normally work will have the day off to enjoy ourselves.
There will be no trash or recycling pick up on Thanksgiving.
Town Hall and the Beebe Library will be closed.
Schools began their Thanksgiving break today.
Federal offices and courts will be closed.
There will be no mail delivery.
All state offices and courts will be closed, including the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Banks will be closed, but you can access most ATMs.
Many retailers are closed.
The MBTA subway, buses and The Ride will all operate on a Sunday schedule. The commuter rail will operate on a weekend schedule. And you’re out of luck if you prefer to travel by ferry; the boats are staying docked for the holiday.
The Wakefield Daily Item will not publish a paper either tomorrow or Friday.
Have a great Thanksgiving. See you Monday.
