MELROSE — Norma D. (Charles) Theus, of Melrose and Miami, Fla. passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 5, after battling with an intense illness.
Norma leaves behind three beautiful daughters, a loving husband, four beautiful grandkids and numerous friends.
Norma was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She was a simple woman, loved by many because of her pure heart. Her love for others was selfless, undying and unconditional.
She had a generous heart, acceptant of all and never kept grudges. She was always involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives in the most thoughtful ways. Her favorite hobbies included singing, reading and dancing.
She was a devoted Catholic, always making God the priority in her life. Even in her illness she always made an effort to sing along to the Hymns we sang at her bedside. Norma touched the lives of many people around her. While Norma will be missed dearly, her memory forever lives on in our hearts.
Norma was the beloved wife of Willy Theus for 51 years. She was the loving mother of Nadine Alexandre and her husband Lionel of Melrose, Magalie Theus of Florida and Katia Noncent and her husband Yves of Randolph. She was the cherished grandmother of Neldine, Francine, D’Andre and Nadeline. She was the caring sister of Roger Malbranche of New York, Ermithe Annozine of Connecticut, Marie Lucienne of Haiti, Marc Charles of Florida, Ernest Charles of Illinois, Marie Therese Theodore of Florida, Daniella Albert of Florida and Jean Claude Charles of Illinois. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visiting hours was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 12, at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
