NORTH READING — Junior Caroline Boucher was the lone member of the North Reading-Danvers High co-op girls gymnastics team to make the Northeastern Conference-Cape Ann League All-Star team. Boucher made the team in the vault and she also qualified for states in the all-around.

Jenna D’Ambrosio, who is also a junior, qualified for the states in the vault, although she did not make the NEC-CAL All-Star team.

The Falcons will lose just one senior to graduation, Alexa Galuppo.

“It’s sad to see Alexa go but we hope to see her next year in the stands as a spectator,” said third-year head coach Jen Habeed. “She was a great leader and we know she will take these skills with her and continue to build upon them. We will miss her next year and wish her luck in her next adventure.”

The Falcons finished at 3-4 overall this season under Habeed.

“I’m extremely proud of all the hard work the girls put in during the season,” stated Habeed. “They pushed themselves in every practice and encouraged each other to be better. That’s what coaches want to see in their team, not just for athletes to push themselves, but to encourage their teammates to push to their limits.”

With all of the girls the team is slated to return next winter, the Falcons should be contenders for the league title.
