NORTH READING — The Flint Memorial Library officially re-opened to patrons yesterday, May 12, signaling the beginning of the end of COVID-19 restrictions.

Visits to all levels of the library are by timed entry. There are four types of appointments available, as well as continued contactless pickup services.

Appointments, limit one per day, will be available for:

• 15-minute browsing visits on the first, second and third floors;

• 30-minute extended browsing visits on first, second and third floors;

• 30-minute visits for reference help, computer and/or printer use and Local History Room use;

• 30-minute Children’s Room visits for browsing and checkouts

Please select the type of visit you wish to have and fill out the short form. You must have an appointment to be admitted to the main levels of the library. If you need assistance booking an appointment, call 978-664-4942.

In keeping with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts guidelines, a mask that covers the mouth and nose is required at all times for visitors over the age of 5.

Contactless pickups

Contactless pickup of brown bag holds in the Activity Room will remain available to all and that process remains unchanged; pickup materials any time the library is open in a self-serve fashion. Those who wish to have books held at a main-level desk for pick-up during their appointment are asked to call ahead. Otherwise, all holds will continue to go through the library’s contactless pickup and ordering process.
