NORTH READING — An abutters’ meeting regarding the installation of sidewalks on Haverhill Street will be held tonight, Thursday, January 11 at 6 p.m. in Room 14 at Town Hall.
Originally slated to be held last Thursday, it was postponed due to the blizzard.
Abutters to the project were mailed invitations to attend the informational meeting by the town in mid-December. All interested persons are invited to attend regardless of whether they abut the project.
Information regarding the construction of the sidewalk, including estimated timelines, will be among the topics of discussion.
The town was awarded a $384,000 grant from the state under its “Complete Streets” program and funds from this grant will be earmarked to construct a sidewalk along the westerly side of Haverhill Street, across from Foley Drive up to North Street.
