BOSTON – Riley O’Connell Coyne, 9, and Julie Gazdea, 8, of North Reading helped the Boston Pride announce the team’s 2021-22 roster at a special event on Wednesday, August 4 at Thayer Academy in Braintree.

The defending 2021 NWHL champions showcased the Isobel Cup as youth hockey players from the South Shore Eagles, Bay State Breakers and Breeze Selects helped introduce the Pride’s 2021-22 roster.

Following the event, the Pride played in a friendly street hockey game with the youth hockey players.  

The Boston Pride is a professional women’s ice hockey team based in Boston. It is one of the four charter franchises of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).

The Pride play at Warrior Ice Arena, which is also the practice facility for the Boston Bruins. They won the inaugural Isobel Cup in 2016 and were the first NWHL team to win two titles when they won in 2021.
