Get past Generals, 3-2

HAMILTON — The Hornets took on Hamilton-Wenham for the second time in a week on April 18 and once again beat the Generals, this time by a 3-2 margin.
The clinching point came at second doubles. In her first varsity start, senior Isabel Thorstad paired up with senior tri-captain Alexa Galuppo for an easy straight set win 6-2, 6-1.
At first doubles, senior tri-captain Megan Landers and junior Sydney Davis were pushed to three sets but ultimately prevailed 6-1, 2-6, 6-4.
Junior Kylie Scher competed at second singles and won a tight two-setter, 6-3, 7-5.
At first singles, freshman Ava Czarnota lost 6-1, 6-3 and senior Haley MacIntyre was downed in two sets at third singles, 7-5, 6-0.
