The Hornets then plated two runs in the bottom of the fifth to go up by three. Alyssa Cassarino had an RBI single to left field and then Kaeleigh Arington delivered an RBI double a few moments later.

The Magicians threatened in the top of the seventh as they had the bases loaded with one out as Lia Bumagin, Haley and Quintana all singled.

However, Hanson got the next two batters out on a fly-out to right and a pop out to second to end the game.

The Hornets hosted Gloucester on June 23 in the quarterfinal round (results not available). The winner of that game will take on the winner of the Tewksbury- Whittier Tech game on Thursday in the semifinal round (location and time unknown as of press time).
