Overnight snowfall has caused numerous trees and tree limbs to fall, blocking roads and bringing down utility wires. The public is asked to avoid travel while public safety, public works, and utility crews work to clear snow, trees, tree limbs, and wires from roads. If you do need to travel, you are urged to exercise caution. Treat any downed wire as if it is live, and exercise caution when shoveling the snow. Thank you for your cooperation.
As of 5:30 AM, Reading Municipal Light Department reported approximately 150 customers without power in North Reading.
