Enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting and caring for others

NORTH READING — Catherine E. Sheehan-Vogt, 78, of North Reading, beloved wife of the late Robert “Bo” Vogt (U.S. Marine Corps), passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Born on August 30, 1945, she was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Walsh) Sheehan.

Catherine was a caring and selfless person. She took early retirement from the Registry of Motor Vehicles after 20 years to care for her ailing Mother.  Catherine and her husband Bo enjoyed traveling, and took a memorable trip across the country to visit his brother in Washington state. Catherine also was a talented knitter and crocheter. She made many blankets for the grandchildren.

Catherine will be remembered for the devotion to her family and putting others before herself.

She was the devoted mother of Thomas Sheehan and Kenneth Sheehan, the cherished grandmother of Thomas, Jacob, Caleb and Spencer, great-grandmother of Maisy, beloved sister of the late David Sheehan (U.S. Army), Ken Sheehan (U.S. Army) and Arthur Sheehan (U.S. Marine Corps), and  aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. Catherine leaves a special cousin, Mike Boyd; her stepchildren: Lynn Fernandes of Taunton, Lisa Leonard of Dighton and the late Russell Vogt as well as many other friends and extended family.

Services for Catherine will be held privately. Arrangements are in the care of the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading.
