Loved skiing and camping

NORTH READING — Christopher J. “Chris” Hallahan, died unexpectedly on October 1, 2017 at the age of 28. Chris was born in Boston, raised in North Reading and was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 2007.  He was very smart and went on to attend Salem State University and made the dean’s list at North Shore Community College.  Chris was a Boy Scout and played basketball and baseball for North Reading High School.  He had a great sense of humor and loved to go skiing and camping.

Chris was the loving son of Thomas F. Hallahan, Jr. and Anne Marie (Fahey) Hallahan of North Reading. He was the caring brother of Thomas F. Hallahan, III of New Hampshire and Donald Ahlgren of North Reading and the grandson of Robert and Helen Fahey of Arlington and the late Thomas Hallahan and the late Edith Whooley.  He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, October 6, from 4 – 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 7, at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St., North Reading at 10:30 a.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
