NORTH READING — Daniel C. Lukaszewski, 82, of North Reading, passed away on Saturday, February 29. He was the beloved husband of Mariet-Therese (Preau) Lukaszewski and the devoted father of Veronica Albano and her husband Rocco of Wilmington.
Born on January 30, 1938, he was the loving son of the late Stephen Lukaszewski and Helen (Sczypanski) Lukaszewski. Dan was also the loving brother of his late nine siblings and the cherished grandfather of Valerie Jackson and her husband Brad of Wilmington, and Mark of Wilmington.
Dan proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force. He worked as Site Commander in radio communications while stationed in France and Belgium as part of the U.S. Command at SHAPE and NATO. He later worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. in Voice Communications.
Dan loved to make jokes and entertain his family. He traveled all over the world, from Europe to Japan to Australia. He was an avid reader and loved all genres of music. His family will miss him dearly, but he will never be forgotten for he will forever remain in their hearts as they cherish their wonderful memories with him!
His funeral will be held at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading on Thursday, March 5 at 10:30 a.m. Please meet directly at church.
