GILFORD, N.H. — Gordon F. Berridge III, 65, of Cherry Valley Road, Gilford, died on Saturday, March 3, 2018 peacefully at home.

Gordon was born on September 29, 1952 in North Reading, the son of Gordon F. Berridge, Jr. and Patricia (Donahue) Berridge. He was raised in North Reading and served in the U.S. Navy. He spent all of his summers as a child on Lake Winnipesaukee in Gilford, N.H. He later moved to Gilford with his wife in 1975.

Gordon loved to travel with his wife, Debbie. They were side-by-side for 43 years, laughing through life’s adventures along the way. He was a proud father, grandfather, brother and uncle who loved watching his sons, grandchildren, nieces and nephews in theater and sports.

Gordon was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed long rides with the feeling of the wind on his face. He enjoyed watching Nascar and attending the races at NHMS. During any big race he could be seen walking the pits throughout the weekend chatting with drivers, pit-crews, family and friends. He truly enjoyed entertaining his family with amazing life stories while sitting around a camp fire at the ocean or outside his camper in Gunstock. His big heart, his huge laugh, and his love for spoiling his grandkids will be greatly missed.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah (Maloney) Berridge; two sons, Gordon F. Berridge IV and his wife, Ana, of Waltham, and Matthew E. Berridge and his girlfriend Talia Ernshaw, of Belmont; three grandchildren, Gordon F. Berridge V, Joseph P. Berridge, and Hunter Ellie Rose Berridge; a brother, Daniel C. Berridge; a sister, Lisa B. Cotnoir and her husband, Jerry; three nephews, Jonathan Morgan and his girlfriend Emily Boucher, Ryan Berridge and his wife Daniela, and Daniel Duchak; two nieces, Kayla Berridge and Lyndsey Smith and her husband Dan; a loving and cherished aunt, Margie Batchelder; cousins, Martha Bilodeau and her husband John, and Bill Batchelder; as well as many other wonderful and loving cousins.

There will be no calling hours.
