Educator who loved animals, traveling, golf and the beach

NORTH ANDOVER — Janice N. (Galante) Siciliano of North Andover passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 80.

Born on March 25, 1941, Janice grew up in Everett and was a graduate of Suffolk University. For many years she was a teacher in the Revere Public Schools and also an adult education teacher in Lynn. Janice enjoyed going to the beach, traveling and playing golf. She loved animals, especially dogs. Janice had many devoted dogs over the years. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

The beloved wife of the late Salvatore Siciliano, she was the devoted mother of Joseph Siciliano and his wife Frances of North Reading and John Siciliano and his wife Clotilde of Guilford, Conn. She was the dear sister of Nicholas Beach of Revere, John Galante and his wife Gayle of West Peabody and the late Diana Sylvester. She was also the cherished grandmother of Alexa, Nicholas, Salvatore, Benjamin, Rafael and Gianna Siciliano.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading. A funeral service will be held for Janice immediately following the visitation at 7 p.m. Those who are attending are kindly asked to wear a mask while in the funeral home.
