Loving father and grandfather
SAUGUS — Mr. John Anthony Spadafora Sr. (Jack), age 78, of Saugus, died November 10, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Jack was born in Chelsea, and was the loving son of the late Joseph and Eveyln Spadafora. He was educated in the Malden and Melrose school systems. He graduated from Tufts University in 1965 with a degree in civil engineering and graduated from the Yale Bureau of Highway Traffic in 1967.
Jack was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, John Jr., and his wife Joy, of Arlington, Mass.; his daughters, Dorothy Skirzenski, of Middletown, R.I., Julia Badala and her husband Derek, of Spring Hill, Fla., and Elizabeth Gustin and her husband Scott of Monkton, Vt. Jack also leaves behind his former wife and mother of his four children, Dorothy Spadafora of Lynnfield; their 10 grandchildren, Hunter, Jacob, and Trevor Spadafora, Matthew and Andrew Skirzenski, Corey, Olivia (Lex), and Elizabeth (Liz) Badala, and Nathaniel and William Gustin. Jack also leaves behind his siblings, Evelyn (Lyn) Keough and her husband Joe, of Melrose, Kevin Spadafora and his wife Mary, of Wakefield, and Teri Bowman and husband Tom of Londonderry, N.H., as well as other family and friends that loved him.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 10 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield (Corner of Salem and Grove Streets). Doors open at 9:30 a.m., Mass starts at 10 a.m. Immediately following will be a graveside burial at the Forest Hill Cemetery, Forest Hill Ave., Lynnfield.
