NORTH READING — Joseph J. “Joe” Halik, Jr., of North Reading, died on January 27, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Kurgan) and father of Scott Halik and his wife Kelley of N.H. and Jennifer Reese and her husband Jeremy of Boxford. He was the grandfather of Trevor and Naomi.
Born on May 7, 1937, Joe graduated from Columbia College and attended Georgetown Medical School. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible at his home in Crystal River, Fla. Joe enjoyed the outdoors, loved spending time at the ocean watching the manatees, dolphins and birds of all shapes and sizes.
His funeral service will be held at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), North Reading, at the Reading line, on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday from 1 – 3 p.m. Interment private.
