Compassionate nurse, accomplished artist

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— Linda C. Puglia, 76, of Cedaredge Colo., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at the HopeWest Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction.

No formal services will be held.

Linda was born on Jan. 5, 1945 to Benjamin and Virginia (McDonald) Carlyn in Lynn, Mass. Her family moved throughout the country before settling in North Reading.

After graduation, Linda furthered her education at Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a very compassionate Registered Nurse.

On Dec. 22, 1967, Linda married the love of her life, Carl J. Puglia, in Reading. They resided in Cedaredge the past 18 years, moving from Salem, N.H.

Linda was an avid painter, creating the most beautiful Christmas, birthday and any special occasion cards with amazing ocean and mountain scenes. Linda enjoyed discussing politics with Carl, coffee time with friends and daily visits with her girlfriends.

Linda is survived by her loving husband Carl Puglia of Cedaredge; two daughters, Christen Puglia of Austin, Texas, and Leigh; three sisters, Marcia Carlyn of Vancouver, British Columbia, Patricia Carlyn of Cincinnati and Debbie Hood; and three wonderful grandsons.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a very dear friend, Bill Yearsley.

No formal services will be held.
