Former owner of Nan’s Sub Shop

NORTH READING — Nancy (Ragusa) Scrima, 96, of North Reading, passed away on February 18, 2019.
Born on September 17, 1922, she was the beloved wife of the late Generoso Scrima. Nancy was the previous owner of Nan’s Sub Shop in Somerville and loved spending time with her family. All who knew and loved her will miss her terribly.
She was the beloved mother of Marilyn Barringer and her husband William; Jeanne DiNardo and her husband Angelo; Patrick Scrima and his fiancee Paula Bross; and Jodi Kader and her husband Essam, all of North Reading.
She was also the sister of Josephine Smith of Somerville; the grandmother of Karen and her husband JR, Brent and his wife Andrea, Jill and her husband Michael, Gregg and his wife Allison, Erik and fiancee Hillary, Thomas, John, Christian and Jenna-Rose; and the great-grandmother of William, Elliana, Evelyn, Serafina, Sienna, Joseph, Nina and Parker. Nancy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will held from the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, North Reading.
