WILMINGTON — Paul E. Surrette, 87, a life-long Wilmington resident, passed away April 11, 2021 at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Paul was the beloved husband of Peggy L. (Loud) Surrette of Wilmington. He was the loving father of Peter Surrette and his wife Jane of Woodinville, Washington, and the cherished “Big Grampa” of Paul and AJ Surrette of Woodinville, Woodinville.

The son of the late Walter and Beatrice (Suprenant) Surrette, Paul was predeceased by his siblings: Walter, Joseph, Robert and Gladys Surrette. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Loud, of Andover, formerly of North Reading; his special niece, Karen (Surrette) Skavicus, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Family and friends gathered at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, for visitation on Wednesday, April 14, from 11-11:45 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at noon. Interment followed in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
