U.S. Air Force veteran who enjoyed bocce, the beach and cooking

OKEECHOBEE, Florida — Paul Robert Yahnian, 71, died on March 18, 2024. He was born on January 14, 1953 in Boston.

He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He was a resident of Okeechobee, Florida for one year and was formerly of York, Maine and North Reading, Mass. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge in North Reading. He enjoyed bocce, the beach and cooking.

Mr. Yahnian was preceded in death by his brother, John Fitchpatrick; his mother, Mary Tagen; and his father, Alvin Yahnian. He is survived by his sons, Paul Patrick Yahnian and John Patrick Yahnian; his daughters, Michelle Ann Yahnian-Rodriguez and Christina Yahnian-Hernandez; six grandchildren, Jazias Hernandez, Ethan Hernandez, Jaclyn Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, Makenna Yahnian and Evelyn Yahnian; his brother, Kevin Yahnian; and his sister, Rosemary Yahnian.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading. Interment will be in the veterans section of Riverside Cemetery, North Reading, on Friday, April 5 at 11 a.m.
