NORTH READING has won the Cape Ann League’s Hyland Trophy for the fourth year in a row. The Hyland Trophy is awarded to a program that combines academics and athletics in a unique way. The Hyland is based on three components: grade point average, as each team must have a collective 3.0; sportsmanship ratings from other teams; and overall winning percentage from September to June. The wide scope of the Hyland Trophy is what makes it prestigious. It means total dedication from all student-athletes and coaches, making it a 24-team award. The four-peat means the student-athletes from the Class of 2018 won the Hyland each of their four years at NRHS. (Dan Pawlowski Photo)
