THE HORNETS earned their own league championship banner for their role on the the Peabody/Lynnfield/North Reading girls’ co-op hockey team who won the Northeastern Hockey League with a 17-5-2 overall record. The NR girls helped the team make history as they won two games in the Div. 1 state tournament for the first time in PLNR history, including a 4-0 win over St. Mary’s, a team who beat PLNR twice in the regular season.
