TWENTY-THREE YEARS after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in NYC, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania, members of the North Reading Fire and Police Departments gathered at the Fire Station for their annual solemn ceremony and to toll the bell in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 people who perished that day. Among them were hundreds of first responders attempting to rescue people from the collapsed World Trade Center towers. (Courtesy Photo)
