WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League’s girls’ cross-country coaches recently voted on All-Stars for the 2020 season. Three Wakefield Warriors were named to the Freedom Division All-Star team: senior captain Elina Olmedo, junior Samantha Seabury and sophomore Madison Nett.

The Warriors finished the regular season with a 3-1 record for second place in the Freedom Division. 

Wakefield, Melrose, Stoneham and Wilmington all had three All-Stars named. Burlington and Watertown both had one selection.

Seabury got first overall in three of Wakefield’s four races this season. The junior also got second against Melrose in a close race.

Nett earned a 2nd overall finish against Burlington, 3rd against Watertown and Stoneham and 4th against Melrose.

Olmedo got 2nd against Watertown, 3rd against Burlington and 5th against Stoneham.

In the Liberty Division, Winchester led the way with four selections followed by three from Lexington, two from Arlington, Belmont and Woburn and one from Reading.
