WAKEFIELD — Golden Rule Preschool located at the Wakefield/Lynnfield United Methodist Church, 273 Vernon St., in Wakefield, will hold an open house on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. for all in interested parents looking for a certified, quality preschool for their children.

Golden Rule Preschool has an over 50 year history of educating children in a fun, hands-on learning environment accepting children ages 2.9 to 5 years old. They offer a curriculum that builds on science, math, literacy and sensory development.

“Children that are 2.9 years of age are challenged and prepared to enter the 4-year-old classroom the following academic school year and children 4 years of age are challenged and prepared for kindergarten the following September. Golden Rule focuses on the necessary skills for entering kindergarten such as learning site words, writing the letters of the alphabet (both upper case and lower case) as well as their names.  They work on counting up to 100, how to cut with scissors and simple math facts. Most important the children learn while having fun,” says Kristine Fowler, director of Golden Rule Preschool.
