MELROSE — Follow Your Art Community Studios announces this fall’s first exhibition in the FYACS Gallery, “Contemplations: Russian Artists Against the War in Ukraine and Israel” which opens on Friday, September 6. The works of two artists Alexandra Rozenman and Alisa Rodny will be on view for the public in The Gallery at 647 Main St. through September 28. FYACS invites the community to the opening reception of the exhibit on Friday, September 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.
About the Artists: Moscow-born, both classically and conceptually trained, Alexandra Rozenman brings a canny and charming mysticism to her life and art. Rozenman came to America from Moscow, Russia as a political refugee at the end of the eighties. She creates her personal and often surreal world, where shapes, colors and images are often utilized like words in a story.
Alisa Rodny is a Boston-based mixed media artist and a visual arts teacher in Boston Public Schools. Working at the intersection of creative chaos and deliberate slowness, Rodny creates pieces that evolve and reinvent themselves over time and are not constrained by reality or by demands of the marketplace.
The Gallery is open to the public six days a week Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
