WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield Independence Day Committee has invited everyone in town to help decide this year’s parade theme. The three choices and a brief description of them are:

The “Write” to Freedom —  The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are cornerstones to the United States and the founding of our great country. This theme highlights the writing of both documents,

Only in America: The Right to Freedom — The Bill of Rights grants citizens of the United States certain rights and is seen only in the United States. This theme highlights the freedoms granted to American citizens.

Spirit of Democracy — In this country we vote for representatives, we vote for school committee members and we vote for a president. This theme celebrates our freedom and our right to vote.

You can vote for your favorite by going to the Wakefield Independence Day Parade website at www.julyparade.org and following the link to the survey page. You can also vote on Facebook by visiting the Wakefield Fourth of July Parade page at www.facebook.com/wakefieldparade.
