Uzzleobit-webMELROSE — Pauline A. (Nigro) Uzzle, 79, passed away at EPOCH of Melrose Nursing Home on July 26.

Mrs. Uzzle was born in Charlestown, raised in Everett and graduated from Mount St. Joseph High School. In her early years Pauline worked as an airline stewardess for American Airlines and then she married her husband John and raised her family.

After the untimely death of her husband Mrs. Uzzle returned to the work force as an advertising buyer and manager and for W. R. Grace, RCA and several other companies.

Pauline lived in Everett for many years, a few years in Swampscott and the past three years in Melrose.

She loved politics, was an avid reader and a wonderful baker. Pauline loved music, dancing and singing but most of all her family and granddaughter were the joys in her life.

Mrs. Uzzle was the beloved wife of the late John L. Uzzle. She was the loving mother of John L. Uzzle and his wife Theresa A. Stack-Uzzle of Melrose and Charles R. Uzzle of Tucson, Ariz. She was the cherished grandmother of Jade Irene Uzzle. She is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Monday, Aug. 3, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
