WAKEFIELD — Peter E. Means, 60, of Wakefield died Jan. 20 at the Tippett Hospice House in Needham.

Born in Boston on April 10, 1955, he was the son of the late Warren P. and Josephine C. (Malatesta) Means.

Peter was raised in Medford and Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1974. He had worked as a sales representative for Olmstead-Flint, Inc. of Woburn. Peter was an avid golfer.

He was the father of Peter E. Means Jr. and Paige A. Means, both of Peabody. He was the brother of Warren J. Means and his wife Janet and Karen P. McCarthy and her husband Bob, all of Wakefield. He was the uncle of Jonathan and Stephen McCarthy and Warren and Jessica Means. He is also survived by his former wife Pamela A. (Tusa) Means.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o’clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
