PHOTO: An important tradition

WAKEFIELD VETERANS SERVICE Officer Alicia Reddin and her daughter, 7 year old Rosalie, place a flag at a veteran’s grave at Lakeside Cemetery on Monday. Led by members of American Legion Post 63, dozens of scouts and other volunteers placed American flags at the graves of veterans in an annual pre-Memorial Day tradition. On Friday at 4 p.m., flags will be placed on veterans’ graves at Forest Glade Cemetery. Anyone who would like to volunteer is encouraged to join the effort. (Mark Sardella Photo)
