IN HONOR OF EARTH DAY, a group of about a dozen residents spent two hours on Saturday morning cleaning up around the Martins Pond neighborhood. Six of them picked up trash along the road and in the wetlands and removed two pickup truck beds full of garbage. The town DPW partnered with the volunteers and removed what they picked up. The other group spent their time beautifying the park and readying it for plantings that will be done this week. Above, from left: Caio and Scott Bechaz, Lori Lynes and Larry Soucie.
