MELROSE resident Cory Bright (back row, third from right) just finished a successful regular season (37-6-1) with the Nor’Easters U14 Prospect baseball team. Bright (Bishop Fenwick bound in the fall) led the league in most offensive categories including batting average, hits, runs scored and stolen bases. The team won several tournaments and overall Elite League Championship including the College Wood Bat and Triple Crown, Conn. The team finished fourth at Summer Nationals in South Carolina. Bright was selected to play for the U16 College Showcase team in 2016.
