LYNNFIELD — Members of the boys’ indoor track and field team had “an impression” showing at the recent Speed Classic meet held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, head coach Christine Smith told the Villager.

Davide Pittilini won the 55-meter hurdles with a speedy time of 7.89 seconds. Pittilini also placed in two other events. He finished ninth overall in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.89 seconds and then took 10th in the long jump with a distance of 19 feet, 6 inches.

Nick Kinnon also had an impressive all-around performance. Kinnon, who Smith pointed out is “new to the sport this year,” ran a state-qualifying time in the 300-meter race of 37.05 seconds while placing fifth overall and setting a personal record in the event.

Kinnon also took eighth overall in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.86 seconds. To wrap up his day, Kinnon competed in the long jump “and despite never being able to practice long jump, (he) still came in the top half of the athletes with a jump of 17 feet, 4 inches,” Smith said.

Nate Drislane, who is also new to indoor track “ran well in the 55 meters” Smith said. While not a personal record, she said his time of 7.59 seconds was very close to his best time to date.

Distance runners Ryan Iapicca (10:58) and Arlex Ramirez (5:05) both won their respective events, the two-mile and the one-mile.

Nick Kinnon’s time of 40.2 seconds in the 300m gave him first against M-E.

The 4x400m relay team of Brett Cohee, Peter Look, Anthony Floramo and Nick Kinnon defeated M-E with a time of 4:05.

In the field events, shot putter Nathan Drislane defeated all M-E opponents with a throw of 36 feet, 9 inches while John Quinn captured first in the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 2 inches.
