WAKEFIELD — A 41-year-old Woburn man who was found passed out this morning in a car resting partly on a Main Street sidewalk facing the wrong way will be summonsed to court for operating under the influence of drugs.

Police went to the 600 block of Main Street around 12:20 today and saw a gray 2009 Honda Civic halfway up on a curb facing south in the northbound lane. The Honda had a flat tire and the operator initially was unresponsive to officers’ requests to open the driver’s side door.

Eventually he did, and police said he was unsteady on his feet and his speech was slurred. There also allegedly was a clear baggie with a white powdery residue found in the car.

The man was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He will be charged with OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
