NORTH READING — Police made four arrests  on drug charges in the last week, three on Monday and another last Thursday, April 2.

On Monday, April 6, as a result of working a joint investigation with other police agencies related to the active distribution of multiple drugs in town, police made a traffic stop on Route 28 at the Andover line and arrested Juan Carlos Marrero, age 30, of Lawrence, at around 2 p.m. on multiple charges. Marrero was charged with:

• Possession of a Class A drug (heroin).

• Possession of a Class B drug (cocaine).

• Possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, (Heroin).

• Possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.

Police said Marrero was arraigned in Woburn District Court on Tuesday morning.

Police said the continuation of the investigation then concluded with the arrests of two North Reading men, Kyle McNeil, 29, of 22 Linwood Ave. and Joseph Provenzano, 30, of 143 Haverhill St. later that day.

McNeil was charged with:

• Possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.

• Possession of a Class B drug.

• Possession with intent to distribute  Class D and Class C drugs.

• Possession of Class C drugs.

• Possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug and conspiracy to violate the drug law.

Provenzano was charged with:

• Distribution of a Class D drug.

• Possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug.

• Conspiracy to violate the drug law.

On April 2, as the result of an investigation, police made a traffic stop on Lowell Rd. and arrested Michael Galvin, 30, of 6 Greenbriar Drive, on charges of possession of a Class A drug, heroin, a subsequent offense. Galvin was transported to Woburn District Court that same day.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
