WAKEFIELD— On Saturday, Sept. 26, the Wakefield Health Department will conduct its first flu clinic of the season. This pop-up event, open to those 19 years and older, will take place at the Farmers Market on North Avenue from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Those wishing to receive a vaccination should schedule an appointment online at https://WakefieldFarmersMarket.org/flu-shot-signup. An insurance information form is available to download on that page or patients may complete it at the clinic. Please bring insurance card(s) and wear short sleeves. All insurances are accepted other than Aetna and United Health Care. Both high-dose and regular vaccines will be available.

Additional clinics will be scheduled once vaccine delivery dates have been confirmed. The Health Department will also be holding family clinics where children 18 and under can be vaccinated along with their caregivers. More information will be forthcoming on these events.
