WAKEFIELD — Last weekend’s Wakefield Open Tennis Tournament included multiple divisions.

Today, we take a look at the Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles divisions.

The Women’s Doubles division champions were Ann Tan and Susan Madden who earned a hard-fought victory over runners-up Laura Flynn and Courtney Thurell.

The Men’s Doubles title went to the father-son duo of Rich and recent WMHS tennis ace Noah Greif. They defeated Elliott Miller and Rob Imbriano in an exciting final set by a score of 7-5.

The teams of the Mixed Doubles division moved to the Northeast Tennis Center on Aug. 22 due to poor weather caused by Hurricane Henri. There, Larry and Heidi Lebatique narrowly edged Tournament Director Sandy Palmer and her son, recent WMHS tennis standout, Jack Palmer.
