Leaves many loving relatives

NORTH READING — Rita I. (Caliguri) Abruzese of North Reading passed away July 30. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Abruzese Sr. and the loving mother of Carl Abruzese of East Boston, Michael P. and his wife Sherry of New Hampshire and the late Janet Abruzese. She was the cherished grandmother of Jake and Carly Simard and Isabella Abruzese and the adored sister of the late Mary Morano and Sadie Caliguri. Rita is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Rita’s Funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 9:30 a.m. from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rita’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701.
