LEESBURG, FLA. — Robert F. Kilroe, 79, of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Wakefield, died suddenly Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Born in Boston, September 20, 1938, he was the son of the late Frederick H. Kilroe and Edna V. (Morrell) Kilroe. Mr. Kilroe was raised in Melrose and had been a resident of Wakefield for over 35 years. He served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. He was an avid boats man and singer. He sang as a member of the Sound of Concord, a Barbershop Chorus and many quartets for 20 years. Mr. Kilroe retired in 1992. He was a member of the Bricklayer’s Local 4, and had his own business, Kilroe Electric for many years.

He was the husband of the late Priscilla M. (Lord) Kilroe. Mr. Kilroe is survived by his three daughters: Deborah A. Lamoureaux, of Georgetown; Diana S. Kilroe and her wife Gail Snodgrass, of Georgetown and Catherine L. Johnson and her husband Robert S. Johnson of Litchfield, N.H., and his two grandchildren, Bradley L. Johnson and Hannah L. Lamoureaux. He was predeceased by his brothers Richard F. Kilroe and Ronald Kilroe. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the Shriners Auditorium, 99 Fordham Rd., Wilmington on Saturday, May 12, from 4-7 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date.
