ObitPerkins-webWAKEFIELD – Robert Paul Perkins, 89, husband of Anne L. (Blake) Perkins, died Monday night, March 21, 2016 in the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody after an extended illness. Born in Hamilton on Jan. 10, 1927, he was the son of the late John H. and Mary M. (Boland) Perkins.

Mr. Perkins was raised and educated in Hamilton. He was a graduate of Boston Latin High School. He later served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. In 1950, Mr. Perkins graduated from Boston University. He worked for the New England Telephone Company for over 39 years, working his way up to Division Manager.

Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife Anne (Blake) Perkins of Ipswich and formerly of Wakefield; his three sons Robert Perkins and his partner Susan Daly of North Andover; John Perkins of Woburn and David Perkins of New York City; his two daughters Marylu Parker and her husband Kenneth Parker of Tewksbury; Anne Jaworski and her husband James Jaworski of Danvers and his son-in-law Peter Binns of Wenham. He is also survived by his six grandchildren Kelsey, Emily, Sarah, Samantha, Caitlyn and Jack. He is also survived by his sister Jane Maroney of Wilmington, Del. Mr. Perkins was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Binns, formerly of Danvers. He was also predeceased by his brother John Perkins formerly of New York, his sister Mary Warner and her husband Andrew Warner, formerly of Hopedale and his brother-in-law John Maroney, formerly of Wilmington, Del.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Burial will take place later in the day in the Highland Cemetery, 29 Town Farm Rd., Ipswich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. There will be no visiting hours.
